How to request deletion

Scriptia is a product developed by Scriptia Labs, as shown on its store and platform listings. To request deletion of your Scriptia data, email [email protected].

Please: (1) send your message from the email address associated with your Scriptia account, (2) use the subject line "Scriptia data deletion request", and (3) tell us whether you want all of your data deleted or only specific information. Sending from your account email lets us verify the request.

What is deleted

A deletion request removes your account details, storefront and catalogue data, reading activity and library, purchase and reading analytics, and preferences from active use. If you ask for your full account to be deleted, everything linked to it is removed and cannot be recovered.

Full or partial deletion

You can ask us to delete your entire Scriptia account and all associated data, or only specific pieces of information while keeping the rest of your account active. Tell us which you want in your email and we will do what we reasonably can. To delete your whole account under the GDPR right to erasure, see our Account Deletion page.

What may be retained

After deletion we may retain limited information where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes, or basic purchase and billing records required by law, consistent with the retention practices described in our Privacy Policy. Any such data is kept only for as long as the applicable legal retention period requires — typically no more than 90 days after your request, unless a specific legal obligation requires longer — and is not used for any other purpose.

Response process

We aim to process deletion requests within a reasonable time, typically within 30 days of receiving a verified request.

Self-service deletion

We plan to add a self-service deletion option within Scriptia. Until then, deletion requests are handled by email as described above.
