How Speaklio uses AI to coach your speaking, and its limitations.
Last updated July 9, 2026
Speaklio uses AI, including Google Gemini, to role-play speaking scenarios, transcribe and analyze your spoken answers, score them on substance, structure, delivery, and composure, and generate coaching feedback and model answers.
AI-generated scores and feedback in Speaklio are informational. They are intended to support your preparation, not to replace the judgment of a qualified coach or advisor, and they are not medical, psychological, legal, or career advice.
You remain responsible for what you say in real situations and for how you choose to act on Speaklio's suggestions. The app is a rehearsal aid; the real conversation is yours.
To analyze a spoken answer, Speaklio sends your audio and/or its transcript to our AI model provider server-side, solely to generate your feedback. We are deliberate about sending only what is needed for that purpose — see our Privacy Policy for how recordings and transcripts are handled and retained.
Speaklio’s AI-generated scores are designed to inform your own preparation, not to make decisions about you. They do not produce automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and they are not used to evaluate or rank you for employment or any purpose beyond the coaching feedback itself.
AI models make mistakes. Speaklio's transcription and coaching can be inaccurate, incomplete, or not applicable to your specific situation, especially with strong accents, background noise, specialized jargon, or edge cases the model hasn't seen enough of.
We continue to refine how Speaklio's AI features work based on how the app is actually used, including where its feedback falls short.
Speaklio's AI features use the recordings, transcripts, and profile described in our Privacy Policy, and only for the purpose of providing coaching feedback to you — not to build advertising profiles or for any purpose beyond operating the app.
We don't claim Speaklio's AI coaching replaces a human coach or guarantees success in a real board meeting, pitch, or interview. It's a tool to help you rehearse, built and described honestly about what it can and can't do.
